Arriving at the banks of the Ayeyarwady River I noticed two young novice nuns bathing in the water and changing into their rose pink and orange robes. They appeared oblivious to our party of 30 people boarding the boat beside them. They dressed and slowly climbed the banks towards their monastery in somewhat stark contrast to our luxurious boat.
